Renault is going to start SKD assembly of Megane and Fluence at Avtoframos in October 2010.
The sales of Megane and Fluence are scheduled for 2011. The Turkish-assembled Megane and Fluence cars are currently sold in Russia.
Avtoframos assembles Logan and Sandero under full manufacturing cycle.
In September 2010, the plant is going to reach the design capacity of 160 000 cars annually. Before March 2010, the company manufactured 15 cars per hour planning to reach the production capacity of 30 cars per hour by September which complies with the annual production of 160 000 cars.
Renault launched the second stage of production at Avtoframos on Match 1, 2010. Investments into the production capacity expansion from 80 000 to 160 000 cars annually totaled $150 mln in addition to $250 mln invested in construction of the plant in Moscow.
