Rossiya Airlines Takes Delivery of New An-148

On September 1, 2010 Rossiya Airlines took delivery of An-148-100V coming from Voronezh to Saint-Petersburg. It has already been accepted at the manufacturer's plant and will be soon registered in the operator certificate of Rossiya Airlines.

The aircraft with the side number RA-61705 is the fifth plane of this type in the airline's aircraft fleet. These short haul planes are currently deployed on a number of domestic routes, including Moscow, Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad, Mineralniye Vody, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa. In the near future, the flight geography of An0148 will be substantially expanded. When the fall-winter season scheduled comes into force these planes will be also deployed on the routes to Surgut, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Nizhnevartovsk, Novy Urengoy, Tyumen and other cities. Before the end of 2010 international routes are expected to open including Stockholm, Vienna and Kiev.

According to the contract with IFC (Ilyushin Finance Company), VASO is manufacturing one more An-148 for Rossiya Airlines. The sixth plane has already been sent for tests at flight-test center. It will be ready for acceptance in October 2010.
