SIBUR acquired several transport companies with own railway infrastructure in the Yamal-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Areas in the south of the Tyumen Region and Perm Territory. SIBUR now owns railway tracks, buildings, electric locomotives, snow-removing machines and other infrastructure facilities in the immediate vicinity of the company's plants at railway terminals Tobolck, Osentsy, Noyabrsk-1, Noyabrsk-2, Megion and Nizhnevartovsk-1. Acquiring new infrastructure will enable the company to minimize logistics risks, cut expenditure connected with the relevant services and optimize the operation of own rolling stock.
The company will continue to cooperate with outsourced customers of acquired assets under market conditions. The company has started integration of new facilities into the structure of SIBUR-Trans.
