On August 31, 2010 a new Russian advanced frontline aircraft system PAK FA was demonstrated to the Ministry of Defense and Indian Air Force, as well as HAL (India).
The advanced frontline aircraft system was shown under the pre contract stage between United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and HAL on co-design of fifth-generation fighter jet.
The new project PAK FA may provide the basis for the future modern Russian-Indian fighter jet. The first flights PAK FA was launched on January 29, 2010.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation expects to take delivery of the first jet in 2015. Cost of each plane will be about 100 mln USD.
